Anna Archibald is an artist and writer from Honolulu, HI. Her practice is concerned with the social, historical, and personal possibilities of archives as physical and conceptual frameworks for preservation and presentation. Embracing the precarious and sometimes illegible boundaries between history, memory, and fiction, materials are systematically oriented around one another to extract meaning from a finite visual vocabulary, using found material to create original documents for untold narratives and invisible labors.

Her work is also informed by her ongoing participation in the New York City restaurant service industry.
